Task 4: What I've learned in the class

In the electronic advertising class, I learned a lot of knowledge with regard to the lesson or aspect of different type of advertising, certain type of media, market segmentation, example advertisement, and consumer behavior and so on. Again, I learned how to create a blog account that I never learned before.

Besides that, for the group assignment of electronic advertising, I learned how to progress a one proposal and our group as an advertising agency to promote the product of Rafa Green Company and what content should include in our proposal. For example, it involve with what is our objective, mission, vision, company background and history, who is our target audience, and what media or medium should we used to promote the product. In addition, I realize that what the main responsibility as an advertising agency and I understand we need to understand clients’ need and to proactively look out for their business opportunities.

Furthermore, I am as a creative team in this assignment, within creative team, I learned how to contribute creatively to the team. For instance, I learned how to use the Microsoft publisher to edit the brochure flyers, or poster. Besides, I learned to use adobe to edit the audio radio and I understand how to create a facebook pages to promote the company’s product.

Task 4: What I've learned in the class

In this class, I learned many things. For example, I know how to analyze an advertisement and also how to create an advertisement based on AIDA concept. I can imagine how advertisement important for the products and services. I understand how an advertisement can affect consumer behavior. From the assignment, I know what an advertising agency jobs is. I also learned how to use some software to create an interesting advertisement to affect consumer behavior. In the class, I saw some advertisements which let me understand how an advertisement can be creative. I also understand advertisement not only can be inside magazine, posters, or other paper but it can be on the wall, buildings, and some places which I can’t imagine and never think about it. Finally I understand advertisement is a very powerful tool to promote the brands, image, products, services, and others. It make me have interest to know more about advertisement and is possible, I wish I can find a job in advertising agency after I graduate from UUM.

Task 3: AIDA



1. ATTENTION:



Attention is the first phase that will spark the interest of a consumer. We can get people's attention through ask a question, cite a statistic or fact, make an offer, use a testimonial, make a declaration or statement, even we can surprise the consumer.



In Revlon ColorStay Mineral Collection advertisement, it uses a statement/headline: “Mineral never looked so good and also the photo of a actress—Halle Berry to gain consumer attention.




2. INTEREST:


Interest is the 2nd phase that can create a desire for the product/service. A consumer will want to know more about the product/service, its functions and features. Once we have their attention, sustain that attention by getting the other person interested. We should either persuade, inform or both.




In Revlon ColorStay Mineral Collection advertisement, it uses benefit with stated in the ad: Up to 16 hours of wear and cure. Gentle mineral complex that cares for your skinto get consumer interested. It also informs the consumer that their mineral collection cosmetics can wear up to 16 hours and cure the consumer skin to persuade them.






3. CREDIBILITY:



This mean we need to show that we're credible. For example, we give credibility through client testimonials, guarantees, or promoting awards is a great way to let people know they can trust our product. In this advertisement, it used Halle Berry’s photo who is a famous actress to let consumers will trust to the product.








4. DESIRE:



Desire is stimulates an action to buy. Once the consumers are interested with the ad and what ad has to say, then next step is to create a desire in them for what we want them to do. They can recognize that they have a need, but this is not desire. Desire is a motivation to act and leads towards the next stage.






In Revlon ColorStay Mineral Collection advertisement, it uses statement: To get Halle Berry’s look, try Revlon ColourStay Mineral Foundation in deep, Revlon ColourStay Mineral Blush in Roseberry, Revlon ColourStay Mineral Eye Shadow in Tiger Eyeto motivate consumer to buy their product.






5. ACTION:



This is the magic stage when consumers take action on their desires and actually buy the product or agree to the ads.





In Revlon ColorStay Mineral Collection advertisement, it stated: “To see the entire Revlon ColourStay Mineral Collectionm go to revlon.com to call consumers take action and visit their website to get more information regarding the Revlon product and customer can buy it if the product can fulfill the consumer desire.
